The Voice of the Ventilation Industry – the European Ventilation Industry Association - hosts event at Chillventa Fair, Nuremberg
Chillventa, Nuremberg, 13th October 2016: Chillventa - one of the most well-known Fans Forum in Europe - provided the occasion for the European Ventilation Association (EVIA) to meet with partners and key stakeholders.
EVIA organised a side event during the forum on the topic of "Ecodesign Requirements for Fans & Ventilation” which allowed for an exchange of views on several key issues for ventilation:
- Future Eco-design Requirement on Fans in the EU and US
- European and International standards
- European Ventilation unit Ecodesign Regulation
- Market Surveillance
- Recasts of European Performance of Building Directive and of the renewable Energy Directive
During their presentations speakers addressed the various challenges of the recently adopted Ecodesign Regulations for ventilation units and upcoming revisions of the building Regulation, now expected to be tabled by the European Commission by the end of the year. "We have identified three key priorities for you in the review of the EPBD Directive: the establishment of requirements on indoor air quality and thermal comfort;Regular inspections of ventilation systems and the use of demand-control options. Our objective is for the review to achieve both high indoor air quality and low energy consumption in European buildings” stated Vanessa Chesnot, Manager at EVIA.
EVIA also shared a booth with FGK (Fachverband Gebäude-Klima), the German national association member of EVIA and was delighted to interact with the numerous visitors about the state of play of ventilation Regulations at European level.
